One more mezcal cocktail for this week! I’m also using this as an opportunity to finish out my end-of-summer blackberries. This drink came out beautifully and has some of the best parts of a Margarita combined with the sweeter, darker flavors of the blackberries and the smokiness of the mezcal. Like the Division Bell, this is a very accessible cocktail for those who haven’t jumped on the mezcal train yet.
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 oz Mezcal Vago Elote
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz agave nectar
- 5 muddled blackberries
- 12 mint leaves
Muddle lime juice, agave, mint, and blackberries together in a shaker. Add the Mezcal and shake with ice. Prep a glass with crushed ice. Double strain over the crushed ice and garnish with mint and blackberry.
