So I recently posted about Fernet Branca, and how it can be overwhelming in some drinks. This one mixes up perfectly with a bunch of other great flavors to make something all-new. Instead of overwhelming with menthol taste, the Fernet takes a back seat to the other strong flavors and becomes a single delicious unified drink. That sounds intense, and it is. This one is not for the faint-hearted!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 oz Green Chartreuse
- 3/4 oz Pernod
- 1/2 oz Fernet Branca
- 1 1/2 oz Sutler’s Gin
Stir all ingredients together with ice and strain into a glass. I garnished with red currants, since they don’t have an overbearing fruity flavor. The strong flavors of all three of the main ingredients need to come first!
